St Paul's Jeevan Darshan Sanstha is a registered social service society working for the Dying Destitutes and orphaned children in Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka, States of India. The organization cater to the backward class and orphaned children encouraging them to go to school by providing assistance in the form of school books, stationary, fees, uniforms and food too.
The services of the organization are being carried out through the help of 22 volunteers. The organization takes care of the dying destitutes and orphaned children from the areas Vasai, Mumbai City, Nasik, Pune, and Raigad in Maharashtra and the parts of Goa and Karnataka. Dying destitutes are picked up from these areas and provided services such as medical treatments, providing food, shelter etc.
Orphaned children are assisted by the organization by providing food, shelter, education, health care etc. Children are educated till they can be placed back in the society, independently. .
St Paul's Jeevan Darshan Sanstha began most humbly in the year 2000 near the Bishop's House in Vasai, where the organization housed 6 destitutes, fed and medicated them with meager resources, and encouragement from friends whom the organization has come in contact with. So far the help has been very little.
Since this humble beginning, the organization has a growth plan to house 20 destitutes and 20 orphaned children. St Paul's Jeevan Darshan Sanstha has acquired land of 1.25 acres at Uttan Dhavgi Dongri, Bhayander (West). Here, St Paul's Jeevan Darshan Sanstha would like to construct a centre for the dying destitutes and orphan children along with a community centre. In order to construct the planned Centre the organization requires financial help. The proposed proposal is to seek financial help towards this project.
The objectives of the project is to construct a Centre for the dying destitute and the orphan children at Uttan. The proposed centre is to take care of the special needs of the dying destitutes.
The centre would have the facility to cater to 20 destitutes and 20 orphaned children at any given time.
St Paul's Jeevan Darshan Sanstha picks up the destitute from anywhere with wounds infested with maggots. Medical facilities are provided for such people by the organization - cleaning them and moving them to places where they are cared for. Most of them die, others that live - stay on till they get completely cured. There are a lot of such cases the organization attends. But there is no place to house them. Hence, the organization felt the need to have a centre for the dying destitutes and the orphaned children at Uttan, where they could be cared for.
The proposed center will have male and female wards for the dying destitutes. There will be a community centre for gatherings, meditation, prayer etc. for the inmates of the centre. Children's ward will be constructed especially for the orphaned children .
